The gap a daily call fills
In independent living, residents manage their own day. That's the point. It also means a fall or a bad night can go unnoticed until a missed meal or a neighbor's concern. A daily phone call at a time the resident picks is a light-touch way to confirm they're okay.
How it works
An RN-supervised Care Caller phones the resident once a day, at an exact time or within a two-hour window. The call takes about five minutes. Afterward, a short note goes to the family contacts the resident chooses.
If the resident doesn't answer after three tries, they're listed in one batched alert to your team at 11 AM, 3 PM or 7 PM, so a staff member can check when convenient. We phone your urgent line only if a resident goes unreached two days in a row or mentions an urgent concern.
Respecting residents' independence
Enrollment is voluntary. Residents who decide for themselves agree on the first call and can stop at any time. We ask only for what the caller needs, such as name, apartment, phone, call time and language, and we don't need medical records.
Cost
Communities pay only for residents enrolled: $168 a month for the first 4, then $42 or less per resident. Many campuses offer it as an amenity; others let families pay through our family plans. The first week is free. Estimate your cost.
Common questions
Can residents choose their call time?
Yes. Each resident picks an exact time or a two-hour window.
Is this a medical alert system?
No. It's a daily phone conversation and family update. It is not an emergency response service; in an emergency, call 911.
What does the family receive?
A short written note after each call, by email, text or both, to up to three people the resident chooses.
Please note: Premium Care Wellness Checks is a non-medical telephone reassurance service. It is not medical care and not a substitute for 911, your staff's care and supervision, or a medical alert device. In an emergency, call 911.
